Losing so many horror icons hurts in a way that is difficult to explain. These were the faces and voices that gave our nightmares life, yet somehow made horror feel like home.

They terrified us as Pennywise, Candyman, Captain Spaulding and countless other unforgettable characters, creating moments that stayed with us long after the credits ended.

We knew these legends could not remain with us forever, but watching so many disappear still feels deeply unfair. A piece of horror history leaves with every goodbye.

Their performances will continue haunting screens for generations, but the people behind the monsters will always be missed. Rest peacefully, legends.

Growing up in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s was a different kind of childhood.

We were watching witches, killer clowns, possessed dolls, monsters, demons and creatures that would probably give today’s kids nightmares for a week.

And somehow, this was considered perfectly normal entertainment for kids.

Looking back now, I’m honestly surprised our generation turned out halfway normal.
