When he can't be in space, Picard does the next best thing- visit the New Mexico Museum of Space History. There were so many interesting exhibits, including equipment and pieces of spaceships that had actually been in space! Also, RIP Ham, the first chimp in space. His final resting place is right outside the museum.

P.S. the transporter is NOT functional.

We were driving in the middle of nowhere New Mexico when Picard abruptly and in a somber voice said, "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." It freaked us out so much we pulled over and found the Trinity Site where the first atomic bomb was detonated on July 16, 1945. The place gave us the creeps, so we got out of their quick. We also stopped in Socorro, where they have a chunk of Jumbo, the housing for early nuclear tests. We'll let you know if we glow tonight.
