The mint is threatening to take over the herb bed.

Again.

So this week I’ve been clipping handfuls for iced tea, tucking sprigs into pitchers of lemon water, and drying a little for winter tea blends.

One of the things I love about herbs is that they ask to be used. Not saved for a special occasion. Not admired from afar.

Just gathered, enjoyed, and woven into everyday life.

The garden was already warm by 8 a.m.

The foxgloves are blooming for the first time after two years of trying.

The mint is threatening to take over the herb bed.

And for ten quiet minutes this morning, there was coffee, birdsong, and absolutely nothing that needed doing.

Summer doesn’t ask much of us except that we notice it. ☕️

This is one of the items that got a lot of interest at the pop up this weekend- a Mason jar 🫙 hummingbird feeder- it’s cute, easy to fill and hang and I still have a few left- message me or check out the link in the comments if you’re interested-we offer local pickup and delivery (within a 15 mile radius)

The garden path is putting on a show this week 🌼

Lanceleaf coreopsis has a way of softening every edge, spilling into the walkway and making the garden feel a little less planned and a little more magical.

I planted it years ago for the pollinators.

I keep it because it makes me smile.

It only took me a few years, but I finally figured out foxgloves. 🌿

The secret? Starting them from seed late last summer and planting them out in the fall.

After all that waiting, seeing these blooms feels like a little garden triumph. 💕
