In 2026, Ford reportedly rehired more than 300 veteran engineers after finding that AI-powered quality checks could not fully match the experience and judgment of skilled human workers.

The company had installed hundreds of AI cameras in its plants to spot defects, but executives admitted the technology still needed the kind of real-world knowledge only experienced engineers bring.

As one Ford executive put it, AI is a powerful tool, but it is only as good as the information used to train it.

After bringing back seasoned workers, Ford reportedly improved its production quality and achieved its best quality score in years.

Happy 250tb of the founding of our great nation! Attended Lebanon’s 4th of July parade with family and now open in Abingdon from noon until 6 pm today. Stop by for that last minute host/hostess gift!

Tons of jewelry with more on the way. Over 100 pairs of cuff links I have collected for over 35 years along with lapel pins, tie tacks, pill boxes, pocket knives, etc. Also a nice collection of women’s jewelry with more on the way

We will be open all week in Abingdon from 11-6 Tuesday through Saturday as usual after a week on vacation with my family although I had someone watching the store normal hours last week. Came back with a few new treasures which are displayed and priced!
