Blind date with a book restock!
I Love making these and equally receiving them as gifts- here’s a little insight into my process, takes me weeks/months from start to finish. I charge $22 per book- message if you want to purchase one!
1. Curate the books from thrift stores - look up Goodreads reviews, make sure they are in like new condition or close to it for a very good book.
2. Peel every sticker off- this takes longer than you think.
3. Clean the exterior of books
4. Flip through every book to insure all pages are secure- there is no water damage, highlighting or writing.
5. Research book stats- other than the good reads review I include the year the book was published, the genre, the time period the book takes place, if it is a bestseller, made into a movie or tv series etc, and if it’s part of a series. And a one line synopsis.
5. Design and print tags and bookmarks to include. Make a tag label for each book with a post it cheat on the back of title and author- place each with each book.
6. Wrap all the books in craft paper
7. Tie the tags on
8. Add a bookmark, teabag, sticker, and dried sprig of babies breath
9. Hand write all the information I previously researched.
10. Store in waterproof containers to be sold at my markets 💗
