WE ARE A FINALIST FOR FLORIST OF THR YEAR! 🎉

I was in the middle of cutting flowers for boutonnières for a wedding this weekend when I glanced at my phone and saw the news! We are so grateful and feel so honored to flower for amazing couples on their most important day. ❤️

We are hiring and need your help to find the right flower people!

🌸 Boutique / Store Manager: this is the person who keeps it all running! In this role you manage and run the day-to-day operations of our busy retail storefront and floral design company. Everything from answering the phone and helping people place an order to managing our Shopify inventory, routing deliveries, overseeing our subscription programs, workshop signups, and all of our special orders.

You must be calm even when the phone is ringing, a person just walked in, a flower delivery just arrived, FedEx is wheeling in a shipment and someone is ready to check out. You like being busy, you love systems, you love flowers and making the world a more flowerful place. 💐

🌸 Part-Time Shopkeeper / Floral Assistant: this position would be ideal for someone in school or is retired and loves a fun fast placed environment. Saturday availability that is consistent is a must during our busy season which is basically March - December.

This person helps run the shop on Saturdays and fills in as time allows for extra help during the week with the flower bar, inventory, organizing, wedding prep, and weekly cleaning of our buckets, vases, and snips. Cleaning is super flexible but needs to happen and be completed sometime before Monday morning when flowers start arriving for the week ahead.

Presenting the bouquet to you or revealing the reception room before your guests walk in. The look of happiness and joy - that the art we created with flowers not only hit the mark, but exceeded your expectations - that’s why we do this.

My team and many vendors we work with know that I truly put myself into our work. Floristry is both mental and physical, artistry and physical, beauty and math, emotions and logistics.

More so than my 15 years of work in the country music industry, floristry is more intense and with good reason - we are creating the visual aesthetics for a lifetime memory.

Last chance to step into this photo and experience an evening of floral design on my best friend Ariel’s farm!

We have 3 tickets left for our Thursday evening Gather and Flower event at her local Lee’s Summit farm. You’ll get a tour of the farm, learn about the operations, listen to Ariel and I talk shop and share our geeky flower knowledge, plus learn and harvest a few stems for your floral arrangement. I’ll be teaching the floral design portion where I’ll guide you through making your arrangement of fall blooms and foliage. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of where flowers come from, how they are grown, and flower arranging skills!

Tickets are $105 and include all materials plus lots of cold beverages and snacks. Tomorrow night should be lovely!

A line around the block … even the heat could not keep you away from fresh flowers and our birthday! 🎂

We saw so many flower friends - people we have known since the pandemic days to current and past wedding couples, former teammates, flower farmers, local suppliers, and even my best friend of 30 years … it was so wonderful to see you and hear from so many of you.

Four years ago Carl and I jumped into the unknown of a retail store + flower bar not knowing what the future would hold. Truth be told, we had no idea what we were doing. Retail + a flower business with a perishable product is a STEEP learning curve. But we stuck with it and you all have stuck with us!

The photo of me hugging Mrs. P, the MIL of one of our former brides - that’s how I feel about all of you and how our team felt all day - just a great big hug!

Special thanks to: Ladan, Rachel, and Meg for being with us this Labor Day Weekend at the shop for flower mania. Truly the best team.
