Quilts N More by Judy People often ask me what kind of things do I make. This page will offer pictures of what I do and list the events that I attend as a vendor Literally!

Many years ago I sewed garments and once I started a family I put sewing to the back burner because my time was being spent elsewhere. About 15 years ago...I wanted to do something crafty for my grandkids for Christmas, so I made them both a quilt. That opened a whole new world of sewing for me and suddenly I had a burning passion to make quilts for everyone I knew! I remarried in 2006 and through

this marriage I inherited another 7 grandchildren. So, you guessed it, they all got Christmas quilts too. I made quilts that I donated to special causes, charities, and the like. I just wish I had taken pictures of them all before I gave them away. Then several years ago I decided to try my hand at making smaller quilted projects. That is how I came to make so many smaller quilted items, such as baby quilts, diaper carriers, grommet handbags, crossover body bags, beach bags, coin purses, zipper bags, zipper ditty bags, mug rugs, and wine carriers. I was giving away most of these items to friends and when I was asked why didn't I sell them I had no answer. Recently I have become involved as a vendor for local Quarter Auctions. This is an event that allows vendors to set up a table to display their goods and sell them cash and carry. Once the auction begins, then each vendor "auctions" off an item valued at around $20-$25 for mere quarters. There are 2 rounds of auctions and the vendors get to keep the quarters that they make from their auctions. The charity makes money through the rented auction paddles and through auctioning off items that are donated for their cause. It's a win-win for all...I like doing these events because it's given me exposure to people who would otherwise never see my work. I have been asked why I don't have a page or a website where I can display pictures of my quilted treasures and to list the events where I will be a vendor...that is how I came to set up this page. I hope you enjoy looking at my items, which are always for sale, and maybe one day I will see you at an event.

It's been quite a long while since Quilts N More has posted anything...actually it's been quite a long while since there has been any action to post about. However! With the current social distancing and recommended face coverings being the new normal, I've been busy making cotton face masks for local folks! At the present time, I'm up to 208 and have orders pending for another 25 more. Anyone wanting to get their name on the list, private message me here or at Judy Carter...

I will be at Mugs and Jugs tomorrow from noon till 5 with lots of handcrafted/quilted goodies for sale...it's a Sunday Fun Day with corn hole, inflatables, music, and local vendors selling their wares...raffle items will be up for grabs, tickets $1...not to mention the excellent food served up by Mugs and Jugs...hope to see a great community turnout!
