Daryanne Benscoter here from Hypnotized Design. This fundraiser hits VERY close to home. Last year my brother-in-law was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer with the tumor being in the worst possible spot it could attach to. Since being diagnosed, he had a plastic stent put in to help keep things moving because of where the tumor is located. Then going through 6 rounds of chemo to try to shrink the tumor. Halfway through that chemo regimen he had to have his stent replaced with a metal one to help prevent it from getting blocked again. Once finished with those 6 rounds of chemo they did another scan. We then received the disappointing news that the tumor had not shrunk at all. We consulted with our three main hospitals, all of them felt that surgery was not an option at this point due to the location of the tumor and the growth. They recommended radiation.
However, there was one doctor that was able to give us something we’ve been praying for through this long journey so far - Hope.
Jason met with him and the Doctor is very confident that he will be able to do the surgery!! His main concern is that the tumor is wrapped around important blood vessels, so he doesn’t want Jason to undergo radiation because it would cause the blood vessel walls to weaken too much.
Instead, Jason has to go through 6 more rounds of chemotherapy to try to shrink the tumor and get his CA 19-9 numbers down to 200. That’s the current goal we are focused on currently. This time it is a much more aggressive treatment. He has done two rounds so far so there are only 4 more to go!! This one has been very tough on Jason. It has thinned his hair to the point where he made the decision to shave his head. In support his brother, Kyle Benscoter, shaved his head and his beard right alongside him. As well as a few close friends of mine who are like family.
One thing that has taught me is just how strong my brother-in-law is and continues to be. He is an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend, nothing can stop him. He won’t let this demon win.
The amount of support that surrounds him is unwavering.
Now it’s time to wear that support proudly! 💜

-This fundraiser will be open to collect orders for two weeks starting July 6th and ending on July 20th. We will be making the shirts after all of the orders are collected.
-Wait time will be about 3-4 weeks due to the anticipated volume of orders placed.
-We will be offering shipping, it will vary depending on size of your order and distance, this will be determined through discussion after ordering.
-You can make a monetary donation if you’d like that will go directly to the family as well
-Payments will be through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and Cashapp.
