When we’re unable to find a book in stock for Storytime, we love visiting the Lemont Public Library and borrowing books for our sessions. We’re so grateful to have such a wonderful resource in our community!

We would love to have the funding to operate more like a library, but as a small business, damaged books unfortunately become an expense that comes directly out of our pockets. Since we’re unable to return books once they’ve been damaged, we do our best to keep our in-store collection focused on books that are available for purchase.

So, if you’re looking for a book to purchase and take home, we’d love for you to shop with us! ❤️

If you’re looking for a book to browse, borrow, or explore without purchasing, we encourage you to visit your local library. They have an incredible selection and are there to provide exactly that service.

And if you stop by the Lemont Public Library, be sure to say hi to Elyse — we absolutely love her! 📖💕

If you have a child aged 7 and up, we're excited to introduce a brand new event!

On Friday, September 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, enjoy a well-deserved date night while your child joins us for our Date Night Art Class. It's the perfect chance to support a local business, spend quality time together, or simply enjoy a couple of kid-free hours while your child has a creative and fun-filled evening.

Reservations are required.

Being a small business owner—let alone owning a children’s store—is not for the faint of heart.

Some days, the expectations and challenges can feel like so much that you find yourself questioning how long you can continue.

But then there are days like today. ✨

Waking up and having my shot of Tess at Folklore, was the perfect start to my day. Then, while working, getting a surprise visit from Hope & Friendship and Lemont Blessing was a complete Godsend. The encouragement and love were exactly what my soul needed. 🙏🏼

Having the support of the Cowan family from Wodden Paddle at our event, along with three other local business owners/employees who simply stopped in to say hello, was another reminder of how incredibly blessed I am.

There is also amazing customers who stop in, text, or call! These little moments mean more than people realize.

Running a small business can feel lonely and overwhelming at times, but having people around you who cheer you on, check in, show up, and genuinely care makes all the difference.

Today was a reminder that even on the hard days, God sends the right people at exactly the right time. ❤️

So, to everyone who continues to support, encourage, visit, laugh with me, shop small, and remind me why I started—thank you. You are appreciated more than you know. 🫶🏼
