Hi friends! This year’s ornament process will look a little different. As many of you know, I usually do a Christmas in July sale to kickoff my ornament season and am usually making ornaments through December! Many of you have ordered ornaments for over 10 years now and I know I am a part of many of your family traditions, which is such an honor.
If you missed my Spring update, my 15 year old son passed away in March of this year, so please know that I am prioritizing time spent with family this year as we navigate this unimaginable loss.
Any ornaments ordered this year will not have a guaranteed turn around time as in years past. And yes, that may mean you may not receive it for Christmas.
Please be mindful if you are ordering as a gift. My family and I are all navigating grief, trauma, therapy, and loss, so I cannot predict how I will feel at any given time. While I may be feeling okay one week, my family members may not, and may require more of my time, meaning my business comes last. I also work full time and am in my first year of running a local nonprofit, so my plate is quite full normally! We also have some vacations planned in late August and mid October, so if you reach me and get an auto-reply, you’ll know I won’t be working.
Secondly, I just have not been feeling very creative in general, or motivated. For those of you who’ve been fans of my work for years, you know that is not in my nature. I am hoping that as I heal my trauma with EMDR therapy, my creativity will make its way back to me.
I also reserve the right to stop ornament orders if it becomes too overwhelming and will definitely share if it comes to that point. Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support me!
Please send me a message if/when you’d like to order and we’ll go from there. Just know that it may take me a little longer to respond depending on my day, work, and family needs.
