Spent the day replacing all the lights on the "Dolly Shrine". Under the circumstances it didn't seem right for it to be looking all dark like it has been. No easy task though because the whole thing has to be disassembled in order to make that happen. I'd say it's lookin' proper now though! I also wanted to thank Violet and her lovely friend (I'm sorry, her name escapes me) from Boone for the beautiful bouquet of flowers! Very thoughtful and spot on with the color choice. ❤️ And thanks to everyone else who reached out or thought of me when they first heard the news. Your positive energy was definitely felt and appreciated! ❤️ Her passing definitely sucks, but on the bright side, I have the luxury of being surrounded by Dolly at Dead Wax every day. 🙂

If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking out the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in Kannapolis! They've got some really cool musical artifacts and memorabilia for all the musical giants who came out of North Carolina. And there's a ton of them. I had no idea Big Daddy Kane was from here. I was really happy to see that they're showing some love to the Carolina underground scene through HOF inductions for the likes of Dexter Romweber, Fetchin' Bones, Let's Active, and Merge Records. Very cool. Now they just need to make some room for Corrosion Of Conformity! And the best part is....admission is free!

So yesterday I took a little ride down to Kannapolis to check out one of the latest additions to the NC Music Highway Murals. The one and only George Clinton of Funkadelic / Parliament fame. Born there in 1941. And incidentally, George is being inducted into the NC Music Hall Of Fame this year as part of the Class of 2026!
