At the age of 10, my meme introduced me to knitting and crochet. I immediately fell in love with the process, watching a simple ball of yarn transform into various shapes with just a hook or needles. Now, years later, my passion for these crafts has only grown stronger. Each time I sit down to knit or crochet, it feels like a therapeutic escape from the chaotic pace of daily life. As one enjoys creating, seeing others appreciate my work is an added bonus. In 2023, I launched my Hugs for Heads business as a tribute to my dear friend Denise who passed away after battling cancer for years. During her hair loss journey, she struggled to find headwear that made her feel confident and beautiful. That's when I made her a hat that became known as "My Denise". Her smile said it all - she felt pretty again. My goal with this collection is to bring comfort and joy to anyone facing illness or simply looking for something special to wear. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass in loving memory of Denise Downes♡ & Virginia Tocci♡

Third wear this week. And it's only Friday. 🧶

Every loop of this white cover top was slow-stitched at Kelly's studio table right here in Leominster. You can feel it the moment it settles on your shoulders. Light as breath, with all the little asymmetries and scrapwork texture that prove a human made it, not a machine.

Today it's tucked into wide linen trousers with sandals, the woven bag stuffed with sunscreen, a paperback, and a peach I keep forgetting to eat.

Tomorrow it's pulled over a swimsuit. Sunday it's layered with denim and worn to dinner.

Sunscreen, peaches, and a paperback. This one carries it all without complaining 🍑

Afternoon light caught the circular bag mid-errand today. Wooden bead edge warming up in the sun, gold hardware doing its quiet thing, beige crochet holding its shape after a full afternoon of being slung over my shoulder, set down in the grass, and slung again.

Every loop in this one was worked at Kelly's studio table right here in Leominster. The circle shape isn't pieced together from panels. It's grown stitch by stitch from the center out, which is why it sits so flat against your hip instead of slumping the way a machine-cut bag would.

Inside, there's room for the snack you'll eat, the snack you'll share, and the book you'll pretend to finish before the sun goes down.

The starfish was placed by hand. So were the cork rounds, and every tiny gold stud trimming the edge 🐚

This little coastal crossbody took its sweet time on my studio table here in Leominster. Each light blue stitch, the natural straw-toned flap, the delicate gold chain. Nothing about it was rushed, and you can feel it the second you pick it up.

It's roomy enough for sunscreen, a paperback, your phone, and a couple of shells you couldn't leave on the sand. Small enough to forget you're carrying it.

The longest day of the year asks for the least amount of fabric 🌾

I stitched the Scrapwork Summer Crop at my studio table right here in Leominster, one remnant yarn at a time. Marigold next to dusty rose next to a soft cream I'd been saving since spring. No two stripes match, because no two skeins did.

It catches golden hour the way open stitches are supposed to. Light slips through, fringe shifts in the breeze, and the whole thing settles on your shoulders like it knew you were heading somewhere slow.

Pair it with denim, a basket of peaches, and bare ankles. Wear it for the bonfire, the meadow walk, the 9pm sun that refuses to quit.

Yes, those are real w**e corks 🍷

I stacked them, sanded them, and stitched them right into the side of this pink crochet bag at my studio table in Leominster. Every loop placed by hand. Every cork chosen for the way it sits against that soft pink yarn.

The faux fur flap is buttery against the structured crochet body, and the gold chain catches light the way only real hardware does. Nothing about this one came out of a machine.

Third wear this week, and someone stopped me at the coffee shop again to ask where it's from. 🧶

The answer: Kelly's studio table right here in Leominster. Every white, dusty rose, and sage green stripe got hooked one row at a time, and no two stitches sit exactly the same. That's the whole point.

It moves like a breeze through the bell sleeves, settles soft on the shoulders, and plays nice with the only pair of jeans I actually reach for. Light enough for a sticky June morning, cozy enough when the AC gets a little too aggressive at the office.

Count the squares. One of them is slightly off. That's the proof a real pair of hands made this 🧶

This patchwork sweater was built block by block at my studio table right here in Leominster. Beige and coral, hand-looped, no two squares exactly alike. The little wobbles? That's where I paused, swapped colors, and reached into the basket for the next skein.

A machine would have made them identical. I made them mine.

It settles soft on the shoulders, layers easy over a tee or a turtleneck, and holds its shape through a whole weekend of coffee runs and plant watering 🌿

Mirror check from my Leominster studio this morning, yarn spools in the background, coffee within arm's reach. This is the Artisan Crochet & W**e Cork Circular Handbag, and yes, I'm fully outfit-repeating it. No regrets.

Every loop was slow-stitched at my studio table. The wooden bead edge was strung on by hand, one bead at a time. The gold hardware caught the light just right, which is how I knew I had to grab the mirror.

What fits inside today: sunscreen, a paperback, my phone, two granola bars, and the keys I'm always losing.

Two squares. That's the whole foundation of this little clutch. A technique my hands have been practicing for years. 🧶

Every loop in this cover-up was pulled by hand at my studio table right here in Leominster. You can feel it the second it settles on your shoulders. ☀
