🖤🐾 TI**EN WENT HOME! 🐾🖤

We can’t think of a better way to start October than with a black cat finding her forever home. 🥹

Our sweet Ti**en was adopted today—and she has officially left the cafe to begin her new life!

Ti**en has always been one of those cats who could quietly fly under the radar. While some of our cats make absolutely certain EVERY visitor knows they exist, Ti**en was more likely to hang back and let you discover just how incredibly sweet she is.

And someone did. ❤️

Now our beautiful 6-year-old girl has a family of her own—and waiting at home is her new 10-year-old black cat brother! 🖤🖤

That’s right. Her family has officially gone full house-panther. 😂

October is the perfect time to give a little extra love to black cats. They can sometimes be overlooked in shelters and rescues, but anyone who has loved one knows just how special they can be.

And this month, Ti**en doesn’t have to wait for someone to notice her anymore.

She was noticed. She was chosen. And now she’s HOME. 🏡🖤

🖤🐾 BREEZEBERRY WENT HOME! 🐾🖤

Yesterday, our little Breezeberry officially left the cafe for his forever home. 🥹🏡

We’ve watched this little black kitten grow up with us—from a tiny, curious baby into a sweet, playful boy with a BIG personality.

Breezeberry has always approached life like there might be something fun happening just around the corner. Crinkle balls? Absolutely. Shoelaces? Even better. Something he probably shouldn’t be getting into? Obviously. 😂

And then one little girl met him and fell completely in love. ❤️

Sometimes that’s really all it takes. Out of all the cats she could have chosen, Breezeberry was her cat.

Now he gets a whole new adventure.

He has a family of his own, a dog who already loves cats, and—perhaps most importantly—a HORSE. 😂🐴

We’re not entirely sure what Breezeberry will think when he discovers the absolutely enormous “cat” living outside, but we’d really like an update when he does.

After watching him grow up here, saying goodbye is a little bittersweet. But this is exactly what we wanted for him.

Yesterday Breezeberry wasn’t one of our cafe kittens anymore.

He was her kitten. 🥹🖤

Happy Gotcha Day, Breezeberry. Have the BEST life, little man. We have a feeling you’re going to keep your new family very entertained. ❤️🐾

📋 Planning a visit to the cat lounge? Get the paperwork out of the way now!

A completed waiver is required for everyone entering the Meow Dyer Cat Lounge — but the good news is, once it’s completed, it’s good for an entire year! 🎉

You don’t have to wait until your next visit to fill it out. Do it ahead of time and you’ll have one less thing to worry about when you arrive. More time for cats, less time for paperwork. 😸

🐾 Parents of teens — this is especially helpful!

Teens ages 13 and older can visit the lounge without a parent or guardian, as long as we have their required waiver completed by their parent/guardian ahead of time.

So if your teen might want to stop in with friends, come hang out with the cats, or visit without you, take care of their waiver now and they’ll be ready to go!

🐈 Everyone entering the lounge needs one on file
🐈 Parents/guardians complete the waiver for guests under 18
🐈 Ages 13+ may visit without a parent/guardian once their waiver is on file

💕🐾 AJA WENT HOME TODAY! 🐾💕

Aja was officially adopted a couple of weeks ago, but today was the day we’ve been waiting for—she went HOME. 🏡❤️

And looking back at the cat who first came to us, this one feels especially good.

When Aja arrived, she was incredibly shy and skittish. She spent a lot of time keeping to herself, watching everything from a safe distance and trying to figure out this strange new place filled with cats and people.

She wasn’t the cat who immediately ran up to visitors asking for attention.

She was the cat you had to give time.

And slowly, we got to watch her change. ❤️

As Aja realized she was safe, more and more of her personality started coming through. The nervous, reclusive girl we first met became sweeter, friendlier and more comfortable with the people around her.

She just needed the chance to get there on her own timeline.

That’s one of the things we love most about the cafe. Not every cat walks through our doors ready to charm a room full of strangers. Some need weeks or months to learn that people can be safe. Some need patience. Some need someone willing to notice the quiet cat instead of only the one climbing into their lap.

And eventually, someone noticed Aja. 🥹

Today, our beautiful dilute calico left Meow Dyer behind and started the next part of her journey—in a home of her own.

Aja, we are SO proud of how far you’ve come. ❤️

From the scared girl who wanted to hide from the world to someone’s beloved new family member.

🎨 TONIGHT: A Tale of Two Leos! 😛😛

Tonight’s Coloring Hour is all about our two senior Leos — Leonardo, our gray Renaissance gentleman, and Leo the Lion, our orange king of naps and occasional grumpiness. 👑

They may have very different personalities, but they share two important things: a name and an absolutely magnificent blep. 😂

Come spend an hour coloring our brand-new Tale of Two Leos designs while hanging out with the cats! We’ll provide the coloring sheets and supplies — you just come relax, color and enjoy some feline company.

🎨 TOMORROW: A Tale of Two Leos! 🦁👅

Two senior cats. Two versions of the same name. Two spectacular bleps.

Tomorrow night’s Coloring Hour belongs to Leonardo & Leo! ❤️

🎨 Leonardo — our handsome gray gentleman, lending his name to a little da Vinci inspiration.

🦁 Leo the Lion — our skinny orange senior with a big personality and very definite opinions about his fellow felines.

And somehow, BOTH of these distinguished older gentlemen are experts in the art of sleeping with their tongues sticking out. 😂👅

We created this month’s coloring pages especially for them, and tomorrow night you can spend an hour coloring, relaxing, and hanging out with the real-life models themselves in the cat lounge.

No artistic ability required. Seriously. Come color inside the lines, outside the lines, give Leo a purple mustache—we’re not judging. The cats probably are, though. 😹

🐄🐾 LIL’ BIT HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🐾🐄

Well… that was quick. 😂❤️

Lil’ Bit barely had time to settle in before someone decided he belonged with them!

Our sweet, playful 1-year-old cow cat officially went HOME today—and despite being the “Lil’ Bit” of his litter, he’s actually a very respectable 12 pounds. 😹

But the best part of this adoption is where he’s going.

Lil’ Bit’s new family is already part of the Meow Dyer family. In fact, they adopted Diane & Bandito—the very first TWO cats ever adopted from the Meow Dyer Cat Cafe! 🥹

Those two are now Juniper & Cash, and today their family came back to Meow Dyer and added another alumni kitty to the crew. ❤️

There’s something incredibly special about seeing one of our adopters come back years later and choose to give another cat a home.

Lil’ Bit may not have been with us long enough to become a familiar face in the lounge, but that’s exactly how we like it. Sometimes the right cat meets the right family almost immediately.

And apparently Lil’ Bit took one look at Juniper & Cash’s family and said:

“Yep. I’ll take that one.” 😹

🖤🤍 BUDDY WENT HOME! 🤍🖤

Today was Buddy’s big day—his family came to pick him up, and our handsome tuxedo boy officially left the cafe for his furever home. 🏡🐾

Buddy has given us so many reasons to smile while he’s been here. From sitting like a tiny human, to his nose kisses, his love of string teasers and crinkle toys, and all those little Buddy quirks that made him… well, Buddy. 🥹

Watching a cat become comfortable enough to really show us who they are is one of the best parts of having them in the lounge. But watching someone else fall in love with that same little personality and choose them forever?

That’s the part we do all of this for. ❤️

We’re definitely going to miss seeing that tuxedo face around the lounge, but there is nothing better than watching one of our cats walk out that door for the last time.

Have the BEST life, Buddy. 🖤🤍

Your rope beds, toys, and all of your friends at Meow Dyer will miss you—but we couldn’t be happier that tonight, you’re home. 🏡🐾

🖤🤍 It’s Tuxedo Cat Appreciation Day! 🤍🖤

And we happen to have two very handsome gentlemen worth celebrating. 🎩🐾

First up: Buddy! 🥹
Our quirky, playful tuxedo boy has officially been ADOPTED and will be heading home later this week! 🎉 We’re going to miss his nose kisses, his ridiculous sitting positions, and that sweet face—but we are SO excited for him to start his next chapter with his family. 🏡❤️

And then there’s Socks, our distinguished 12-year-old tuxedo gentleman. 🖤🤍

Socks may be a senior, he may not have any teeth, and we’re pretty sure he can’t hear much of what we say to him… but none of that has slowed down his biscuit-making career. 😂

He is an absolute sweetheart who loves cuddles, happily kneads away when he’s comfortable, and is proof that senior cats have SO much love left to give.

Today we’re celebrating tuxedos at both ends of their Meow Dyer journey: one getting ready to head home, and one still waiting for someone to realize that a toothless, possibly deaf, 12-year-old biscuit maker might just be exactly what their family is missing. 🥹

Congratulations, Buddy. ❤️
And here’s hoping Socks’ person is out there somewhere. 🐾
