šŸ³šŸ¾ Meet Omelet — one tough little egg. šŸ’›

Omelet’s story began when he was found dumped near a roadside egg stand, barely clinging to life. On his first day at the shelter, we truly didn’t know if he would survive.
But this little guy wasn’t ready to be over easy.

With lifesaving blood donated by fellow shelter cats, a transfusion and months of love and care from a dedicated staff member who fostered him, Omelet slowly began putting himself back together.
Today, he may be missing an eye, but he’s otherwise busy doing what kittens do best — playing, exploring and reminding us just how resilient such a tiny life can be. ā¤ļø

Omelet can be a bit of a scaredy-cat and may become overwhelmed by loud or overly social environments.
He has played with other cats in foster care, but he’ll appreciate a patient family that lets him settle in at his own pace. Because he has one eye, Omelet will need to remain an indoor-only cat.

Omelet has already fought incredibly hard for his second chance. Now, all that’s left is finding the family who will give him his happily-ever-after.

We think this good egg deserves it. šŸ³šŸ±šŸ’›

Identical Twins! Simon & Spyder. (Black Magical Bats!) Birthday 4/3/2026. They do everything the same and often in unison. They have a regal look (like a black Siamese people say). Solid black with a long, lean, muscular build and big eyes!!
They are friendly, speedy, playful, fun, intelligent, and happy boys. They are high energy and eat like wolves! They are also super nice to all the other pets and people in the house, you can scoop them up and they purr until they want to get down and go running. Once they are tired out, they happily run to their personal condo to eat and sleep and play by themselves. Open a can and yell "BOYS! Come on Boys!" and they come running. They probably each think their name is "Boy"...
They are very well trained and smart, lol. Kind of like magicians, too. I find them all over the house in different rooms and could swear I never opened the doors. They provide much amusement. They'd be a wonderful team to adopt together - but they don't HAVE to go together if you have another playmate. They have never been apart or alone.

🚨 URGENT: OUR RESCUE NEEDS HELP. 🚨

We’ve been hit with one medical expense after another, and right now, Meow Dyer Cat Rescue simply does not have enough in our bank account to cover the veterinary bills in front of us.

In just this stretch of medical care, we’re looking at more than $4,000 in veterinary expenses.

šŸ’” Crow & Sugar Baby — $2,050
Both required emergency veterinary care, and sadly, we ultimately lost them both. Their outstanding veterinary bill is approximately $1,700, on top of another $350 we already paid for Crow’s emergency ER care.

We would make the decision to fight for them all over again. Losing them doesn’t erase the cost of trying to save them.

🦷 Leo — $1,300–$1,900
Leo is scheduled for his much-needed dental surgery, and we’ve already had to put down a deposit toward his procedure.

🐾 Three neuters — approximately $300
Three of our boys went in for their neuters this morning—necessary routine care that still has to be paid for.

Altogether, that’s approximately $3,650–$4,250, depending on Leo’s final dental bill.

We’re setting a goal of $4,500 to help us cover these immediate medical expenses and keep saying YES to the cats who need us.

If 100 people gave just $10, that’s $1,000 toward these bills. Every $5, $10, $20 or $50 truly adds up.

We don’t want a low bank balance to be the reason we can’t rush a cat to the ER. We don’t want to postpone something like Leo’s dental because we can’t afford it. And we don’t want to have to choose between providing routine care for one cat and emergency care for another.

We need our community right now. ā¤ļø

🐾 DONATE: https://www.meowdyercatrescue.org/donate-1

If you aren’t able to donate, please share this post. Getting it in front of someone who can help is valuable, too.

Thank you for helping us continue to fight for them—even when the outcome isn’t the one we desperately wanted. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

This week has been a reminder of just how quickly rescue expenses can add up.

šŸ’™ Leo is heading to the vet tomorrow to be assessed for the major dental procedure he's desperately needed.

šŸ’™ Brauny recently had his leg amputated, and stitches removed after surgery, and is continuing to recover.

šŸ’™ Breezeberry wasn't feeling well and needed veterinary care.

šŸ’™ And, with heavy hearts, we recently said goodbye to our beloved Roman. His euthanasia and cremation were one final act of love we were honored to give him.

We never regret saying "yes" when a cat needs help. But saying yes also means the bills keep coming.

Right now, our rescue bank account is running low, and we're asking for help to get through this stretch. Every donation—whether it's $5 or $500—goes directly toward veterinary care, medications, and giving cats the treatment they deserve.

If you've ever visited the cafe, adopted one of our cats, attended an event, or simply cheered us on from afar, we'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider making a donation today.

ā¤ļø Donate here: https://www.meowdyercatrescue.org/donate-1

If donating isn't possible right now, sharing this post is another wonderful way to help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for believing that every cat deserves a chance. Because of this community, we're able to keep saying "yes" when they need us most. 🐾
