It’s too hot and the air quality sucks for upick… Which means, joy jars are available in the farm stand!

Joy jars are $10.

Enjoy the photos of the zinnias from seed saving last year. The colors are INCREDIBLE! 🌺

Not that I need to explain myself, but to get ahead of it. Joy jars are $10 and upick mason jars are $15. The difference is the joy jars are small mouth mason jars and the upick are wide mouth. Which means, you can fit more blooms in the wide mouth jar.

* Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
* Sundays: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Parking is in our side yard, right in front of the flower field. Picture of my vehicle parj d for reference. Once you arrive, stop by the farm stand to grab your snips and a container, then head out into the field to create your own beautiful bouquet of fresh, locally grown blooms!

The field is absolutely bursting with flowers, and new blooms are opening every single day. 🌸✨

Now… if you happen to notice a few weeds along the way… no, you didn’t. 😉 They’re just the flowers’ overly enthusiastic bodyguards. We promise the blooms are worth it!

* 🏡 This is our home, not just our flower farm, and we take great pride in caring for it. We simply ask that you treat it with the same kindness and respect you would your own.

* 🐶 Please leave your pets at home. Our ducks and cats free roam the property, and we’d like to keep all of our furry and feathered friends safe.

* 👧 We love having little flower pickers! If you bring the kiddos and they’d rather stage a full-blown protest than pick flowers (we’ve all been there! 😂), just give me a call at (217) 621-4473. If I’m home, I’ll gladly keep the kids entertained so you can head home a little less frazzled.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes with lots of stuff. Some of that has been preparing for our upick to open.

The rain has defeated us this year with 3 wash outs after planting. We have a mix of beautiful luscious rows and some that look sad. Instead of having those rows planted to bloom later in the season I’m waiting for fall planting to provide more beautiful spring flowers next year.

Some rows are behind schedule due to the wash outs. I’m planning on opening the upick on Saturday, 7/18 from 9a -3p. There will be plenty of blooms, but we likely won’t see the flower fields full potential until August.

The rows are slowly growing and blooming with beauty. Transitioning from spring blooms to summer blooms is always a long wait. The Lilies, yarrow, rudbeckia, and dahlias sure showed off their beauty during the field walk. 😍
