This 18th Century gem may soon be headed to The Brush Factory on Kings. It is cherry and absolutely stunning! It purportedly came from the H. Louis Baugher estate. Reverend Baugher was the President of Gettysburg College at the time of the Civil War. He gave the Benediction at Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. There was a book found in side written in script with H. Louis Baugher. The book will not be sold with the desk.
It is fine condition for being around 200 years old. It is a fine example of early Americana.
