Plants Etc opened in 1977, almost all plants with some crafts from the Greenbrier Artisans Guild. Now it is the reverse with crafts from West Virginia and fair trade from around the world and very few, if any, plants. Before Plants Etc the site was home to one of the C. Casdorph & Sons Food Stores, a small chain of stores of which this one was the last to close.
