Colonial Candlecrafters Colonial Candlecrafters started as a hobby and continues its mission in its new location (November 2014) at 165 Brookpark Circle in Lewisburg, Pa.

Colonial Candlecrafters started as a hobby on top of the kitchen stove in 1970. Established in its original location March 1972, it was owned and operated by Howard and Beverly Bird until 1982 when their daughter and husband (Pat and Greg Hess) purchased the property and business. Pat and Greg lived above the business and during their 32 years of ownership, led the business through two expansion p

rojects, introduced several new product lines. Colonial Candlecrafters became a destination shopping experience for tourists and local consumers. Pat and Greg turned a business-which had been started as a hobby- into a healthy and thriving small business with a strong internet www.colonialcandlecrafters.com presence. The Hesses decided to retire in 2014, but not before Brenda and Gary Pfleegor Jr. offered to "Keep the Candles Burning" for Colonial Candlecrafters. While the location has been moved to 165 Brookpark Circle in Lewisburg, The Pfleegors continued the effort to oversee the manufacturing of a high quality, hand-made local product, which compares very favorably to nationally known brands. When the Pfleegors decided to sell the business in 2014, Kathy Deivert stepped up and bought it. Kathy started working as a candle maker for Patti Hess. She continued as the candle maker working for Gary and Brenda, and has carried on her candle making skills as the owner of the shop!
