Today touched me to the core.

To see a person’s personal belongings, all in a pile on the side of the road in front of their home, was very difficult to see. It literally took my breath away.

But when I got to the church that’s when my heart felt amazing hope for Cambridge City.

The volunteers put a smile on their face, even though their eyes showed that they were exhausted.

The volunteers working side-by-side and being so thankful that people from Ohio would do what you are doing gives them encouragement.

The people that came in to pick up food, water, shovels clothing and cleaning supplies or to get a warm meal, you could see a little bit of hope on their face, even if it was for just one moment.

Thank you does not seem like enough to say to everyone who has donated.

Please take the time to follow Cambridge City Christian Church on social media. They are doing an amazing job at not only serving people well, but communicating what they need for those in their community. ❤️

COMMUNITY DONATION UPDATE

The response from our surrounding communities and county has been incredible. We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming support, generosity, and donations being provided to those impacted by the flooding in western Wayne County.

At this time, the donation center has received more donations than anticipated and is working to inventory and organize the supplies already received.

We are asking the public to temporarily pause additional donations while this process is completed.

Once the current inventory is assessed, specific needs will be communicated so those wishing to help can provide the items most needed by impacted residents.

Thank you for continuing to support Wayne County and our communities during the recovery process. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Teachers and other school employees are the heart of our communities.

They provide a safe place for children, and make a difference to them every single day.

I learned pretty quickly when the Storehouse opened, that a huge part of our client base are school teachers, and other others that work hard in the school system.

In order to celebrate the ones that give hope to kids, we will honor a 15% discount on any Storehouse-made items! 🍎

Update 8/14/26: I’ll make the first drop of donations to Wayne County, Indiana on Monday, August 17th!
