When it has been a minute on the lathe, wood turning for me has a deep meaning, it was one of the last woodworking skills I never “got into”, I asked my dad to teach me( I was in my 30’s), he had me come to his shop like a student every other Tuesday evening after work. It was one of the last true skills taught to me by my dad. He was also a veteran, so on this Memorial Day, I spin up the lathe and raise a glass to my dad and all of the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. 🇺🇸

One minute, I’m focused on emails… the next, I’m knee-deep in a DIY laundry soap project because apparently the house has other plans for me. 🤦‍♀️

Ever get that feeling that someone’s watching you while you work? 👀

Yeah… I don’t just feel it—I know it. This majestic yet slightly judgmental rooster ensures that every email I send, every task I complete (or procrastinate), and every snack I eat is monitored and silently judged.

Productivity? Through the roof. Comfort level? Questionable.
