Week 2 means we get to show you what we've been up to with the Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor BlockBuster Challenge. Right now my design looks just like the traditional Lemoyne Star, but I've got a plan. You'll have to come back next week to see what my final design looks like.

Now that the New Year has begun, it is time for us to resume the Studio 180 Design Blockbuster Certified Instructor Challenge. This month we pick up where we left off in November (BB # 18).

And so it goes.....

BlockBuster #19 "Exploding Lemoynes" This block is a spinoff from the beloved Lemoyne Star block. Studio 180 Design has made constructing this block foolproof when you use the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool. It's one of my faves. But aren't they all??? :-)

This month I am staying with the same color palette of batiks that I've been using. I love the vibrant colors.

Hi, everyone. I am really enjoying participating in the Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor BlockBuster challenge. Each month we focus on a different block in the collection found in the Free Downloads section of the Studio 180 Design website here.

November has us focusing on block #18, the "Popped V" which uses the V Block and Corner Pop tools. Last week I showed you the fabrics I would be using for my block this month. Today, I am showing parts of the block in progress. I love all the colors I am using and cannot wait to show you the finished block next week.

It's that time! The start of a new month and that means a new Studio 180 Design BlockBuster Certified Instructor Challenge. This month we are focusing on the V Block and Corner Pop tools for BlockBuster #18, POPPED V. This is a great block with so many design options. This week I have posted the fabrics I will be making my block with. Aren't they awesome?

It's a little later tonight than I had intended to get this posted, but here it is.

This is my variation of the Studio 180 Design BlockBuster #17 Salem Star block. For this block I opted to only use three colors instead of the planned four. I love the movement the pinwheel in the center of the block creates. The Corner Pop tool gives you so many design options. It's one of my favorite tools.

It's week 2 of the Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor's Challenge. This week we're all showing snippets of our work in progress.

I have opted to do a variation on the BlockBuster #17 Salem Star block. You can join us int the challenge by making your own Salem Star by visiting Studio180Design.net. Click on the Free Download tab and go to the BlockBuster section to find a ton of free blocks, including #17 - Salem Star.

I am using a bright yellow, green and royal blue for my block this time. I'm looking forward to showing you the finished block next week.

The first Thursday in October means it's time for the reveal of my fabrics for the Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor BlockBuster challenge. You never know, we might make little changes to our blocks, so investigate them carefully to see if you can notice the differences.
