A little pop-up U-pick today if you want to get your hands on some locally-grown flowers! 🌻💐🌸

Come out to the farm today from 8am until dusk and you can snip:
💛Black-eyed Susans
🩷Dahlias
🧡Zinnias
🤍Baby’s Breath
💚Bells of Ireland
💜and lots more

The starting point for U-pick is the farm stand, which is self-serve and runs on the honor system. I’d love to see you out in the flower field today.

It’s bouquet day, so it’s all sunshine and rainbows!! ☀️🌈

This week’s bouquet has lovely hydrangea, lisianthus, dahlias, and locally grown baby’s breath. If what you can get a the store is baby’s breath than this is really more like ‘toddler’s breath’ because it is such much fuller and more stunning!!

Ahhh it’s been a busy few weeks, but I wanted to share some of the dahlias that have been blooming.

Some of these are old favorites and some I am growing for the first time this year. As we get further and further into summer they will bloom more and more!

Which one is your favorite?

We had such a fun time this Saturday picking blooms for our vases and then watercolor paining them! Flowers are definitely my favorite thing to paint.

There are two more classes left this growing season:

🌻August 5th we will be doing a U-pick and paint

🎃October 9th will be a fall themed paint night

I hope you can join us for one of these events!

Lots of people have been asking me when the field will be open for U-pick and 7/11 is the day!!

We will just be open from noon-dusk (I highly recommend dusk not only because it’s beautiful, but also because it’ll be cooler which flowers actually prefer).

The process to do a U-pick is simple:
🌼start at the road side farm stand which has all the info posted
🌼there will be a waiver to sign
🌼you’ll grab your cup of water and snips
🌼then head out the the flowers and snip what you love
🌼the farm stand is self serve and runs on the honor system
🌼there is payment info inside the stand and we accept cash, check, and Venmo payments

At this point in the season not everything is in full bloom, but you can definitely get your hands on some beautiful black-eyed Susan, yarrow, zinnias, and lots more.

As the season continues I’ll share more regular I-pick days and hours.

Happy little bouquets of sunshine heading out today.

I’ve been toying with the idea of switching up bouquet subscriptions for 2027 so they would be monthly (May-September) instead of seasonally (spring, summer, fall). The monthly subscription would each have 4 bouquets per month and an advantage would be knowing bouquets dates ahead of time. With the seasonal there is a choice of 4 or 7 bouquets and start date (especially for spring) is more weather dependent. Ultimately you’d still be getting locally grown flowers as often as you’d like.

I’m not totally sure what direction I’ll go, so I’d love any feedback.

I’ve been deep in summer mode over here☀️

🌅Been loving the sunsets,
🍔been loving BBQing,
🏕️been loving camping with my people,
💐been loving that this is the time of year when the hardest work of growing flowers is over and now I can reap what I’ve sowed.

If it’s almost July does that mean half of 2026 is over?! 😳

There are some FUN things to look forward to this month.

💐7/1 is the last day to sign up for a summer bouquet subscription

🌱Little Seedings FLOWER CAMP will be each Tuesday in July for 9:30-10:30. The website has details and sign up info. I am excited for this!

🎨We’ll be snipping blooms and painting on 7/11 with _little.miss.artsy_

🪴 And even though it’s technically in August, I’ll let you know to mark your calendar for Love Local Events EO Summer Market on 8/1 where I will have house plants

✂️Also stay tuned for when U-picks will start here on the farm.

Have a fabulous July! 🎆🇺🇸
