Matchstick Goods Matchstick Goods exists to make beautiful ceramic goods and to hire and mentor youth in N. Lexington.

Matchstick Goods is a non-profit based pottery company that is committed to employing and mentoring youth in North Lexington. Together, our staff and student employees make beautiful handmade ceramics while building arts-based and professional skills that will serve them for years to come. Our offerings range from home decor to functional kitchen items to ceramic jewelry, and all of it is handmade

here in our studio. We are part of a larger nonprofit called Common Good, and located inside of Embrace Church.

Our “Seconds Sale” is tomorrow at North Lime Coffee & Donuts! Come check out our pieces that have a smidge of extra wonkiness.

Every once in a while, a piece does end up the way we want it to. Maybe the glaze drooped, or a color didn’t out quite right, or it just a bit of extra “wonkiness.” Either way, these misfits are perfectly usable, so we thought we’d share these “seconds” at a big discount!

We’ve been working on lots of custom orders lately, and Danny has stepped up to help! Over the summer, Danny learned to create stamps in CAD software, and then print those models using our 3D printer. We’re excited to have him back this semester as part of the co-op program, and very thankful to have his help! 🖥️
