We just finished installing the butcher block wood treads and landing to the steel mono stringer that we had previously installed. The wiring sticking out at each tread is for the lights that will be added under each tread.

Crown Stair in Lexington Kentucky is looking for a Full-Time Metal Fabricator/ Metal Shop helper to join our team. We are an established 22-year-old business that continually strives to improve our company and our individual team members. We are looking or someone that wants to learn new skills, meet new people, and work in a positive, motivated work environment.

You'll get the chance to assemble structural metal products using a variety of tools and machines, including drill presses, grinders, welders, plasma cutters and more. Not to mention, you'll interpret blueprints, drawings and other written/verbal instructions and then weigh in on project scope and requirements. This is a great chance for a dependable hard worker to build solid experience and grow with a committed company that truly values its employees.

Job Responsibilities:
• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Fabricate and assemble structural metal products.
• Interpret measurements.
• Operate equipment

Job Skills & Qualifications:
Preferred:
• 2 years' experience in fabricating steel and welding field preferred, or ability to demonstrate proficiency.
• Proficient in MIG, SS, and Aluminum.
•Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications

Required:
• Ability to work with your hands, lift heavy objects and stand on your feet for long periods of time often doing repetitive motions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics skills.

Work Schedule:
M-F 8AM - 4:30PM with some overtime potential
