Lexington County Bomb Squad. This coin is 2 inches around (without the fuse) and a half inch thick at the center. It has a shiny gold plating and was finished off with 3 D elements, a glowing fuse and both matte and standard soft enamel paint.

RCSD's Motor Vehicle Theft Unit coin got a minor makeover to an already great design. The original print of this coin had a gritty finish in the open spaces on the steering wheel side of the coin. For this iteration, they went with a smooth finish covered in a matte black paint. This allows the writing on this side to stand out and draw the eyes to it a bit more easily. The front side was repeated as originally designed. This effect is accomplished but cutting a 3-dimensional design into the coin and then using UV print to finish it off. This is one of the rare instances where the UV print is used to its greatest effect and completes this unique design. My hat is off to the designer, Palmetto State Coins, LLC.

RCSD Criminal Investigations Division. This coin has an antique silver finish and is 2 inches around and 4 mm thick. It was finished off with a bit of deep blue enamel paint to represent the night sky above the cityscape and a minor amount of UV printing for the crime scene tape. The quality and precision of the machining for this coin really shows in the cuts made on the back side to create the fingerprint effect.
