Lexington's latest war against Bradford Pear trees gives you a way to help fight the scourge of these ecological terrorist trees, and get a free (and better quality) tree to replace it! We know Bradfords are beautiful this time of year with their gorgeous fall color, but as we like to remind everyone when it comes to invasive species, "pretty is as pretty does" and there is nothing pretty about the menacing behavior of Bradford Pears. (Beside that, Kentucky has plenty of beautiful native trees and shrubs that have equally stunning fall color and excellent manners.) So out with the bad and in with the better! Do the world a favor: remove your Bradford and collect your bounty!

UK Extension is asking the public to combat an invasive tree species, and there is a benefit for participating.
