Hop Around the Hill A holiday fashion and gift boutique crawl around small town Texas, Liberty Hill. The idea was sparked by the AMEX Small Business Saturday campaign.

Promoting "community over competition" while giving back to a chosen local non-profit. Holiday Around the Hill & Hop Around the Hill is a private event founded in 2019 by local Liberty Hill boutique owners. The goal has always been to have small businesses come together to encourage local shopping and to give a portion of sales to a local non-profit, building community over competition. The event has grown leaps and bounds since 2019 even adding a second event, Hop Around the Hill. To date, we have raised $25K+ for three Liberty Hill based non profits. The participating business owners make up the Holiday/Hop Around the Hill Board. Together they discuss and vote on all decisions surrounding the event and its participants plus they equally cover monetary costs for all marketing materials, ads, etc. They are also responsible for applying for grants, sponsorships, etc. This is a true labor of love, coordinating an event of this size is no easy feat. The success of each event truly goes to the customers. It is a testament to how supportive our little big town is of small local businesses. With that in mind its is important to listen to feedback from those customers in return for their support. The most common response we’ve received is that with the growing number of shops it’s hard to visit all of them in one day without rushing through them. In an effort to help manage that concern, new applications will not be accepted for Holiday Around the Hill 2022. We hope you continue to support this fun event and as Liberty Hill grows and more businesses join this amazing community we will continue to discuss ways Holiday/Hop Around the Hill can grow with it.

🎄 Applications Are Now Open! 🎄

We're excited to officially open the application period for the 7th Annual Holiday Around the Hill Boutique Crawl, taking place on Saturday, November 28, 2026 on Small Business Saturday.

For the past seven years, Holiday Around the Hill has been more than a shopping event. It's been a celebration of Community Over Competition—bringing together local businesses to create a memorable shopping experience while giving back to our community.

As the event has grown, so have the expectations for participating businesses. This year's application reflects those standards while also giving us the opportunity to welcome new businesses that will add something special to the overall customer experience.
