Hop Around the Hill

Hop Around the Hill A boutique crawl around small town Texas, Liberty Hill. The idea was sparked by the AMEX Small Business Saturday campaign.

Holiday Around the Hill & Hop Around the Hill is a private event founded in 2019 by local Liberty Hill boutique owners. The goal has always been to have small businesses come together to encourage local shopping and to give a portion of sales to a local non-profit, building community over competition. The event has grown leaps and bounds since 2019 even adding a second event, Hop Around the Hill.

To date, we have raised $25K+ for three Liberty Hill based non profits. The participating business owners make up the Holiday/Hop Around the Hill Board. Together they discuss and vote on all decisions surrounding the event and its participants plus they equally cover monetary costs for all marketing materials, ads, etc. They are also responsible for applying for grants, sponsorships, etc. This is a true labor of love, coordinating an event of this size is no easy feat. The success of each event truly goes to the customers. It is a testament to how supportive our little big town is of small local businesses. With that in mind its is important to listen to feedback from those customers in return for their support. The most common response we’ve received is that with the growing number of shops it’s hard to visit all of them in one day without rushing through them. In an effort to help manage that concern, new applications will not be accepted for Holiday Around the Hill 2022. We hope you continue to support this fun event and as Liberty Hill grows and more businesses join this amazing community we will continue to discuss ways Holiday/Hop Around the Hill can grow with it.

Once again, huge thanks to all of our local and NON-local shoppers who braved the rainy day Saturday to support our local boutiques and restaurants for our 2026 Hop Around the Hill. We gave back a portion of sales to The Dwelling Place totaling $2,436! We loved and appreciated all 9 of the restaurants who joined us for this year’s boutique crawl.

For this fresh spin on our annual shopping experience, shoppers will enjoy shopping locally owned, small fashion boutiques and also getting refueled and recharged at local food establishments. Passports can be picked up at any of the first participating stop of the day. To be entered into the grand prize drawing, patrons must visit all four boutiques and get their passport card stamped at each location. In addition to visiting the four boutiques, patrons will need to visit at least two of the food establishments listed on the card and get their passport stamped by that business. For food establishments, go enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch, a happy hour drink, dinner or a sweet treat as you continue to support small and local around liberty Hill.
