🦋 How we can celebrate Dolly 🦋

❤️WORTH THE READ❤️

We’ve got the big hair, the sparkle, the wigs… and now we want to do something that would make Dolly smile. ❤️

We’re collecting NEW children’s books for kids up to age 12! 📚✨

Bring in a new children’s book to Jay’s Midlake but we have one tiny request…

Write a note inside your book for the child who will eventually receive it. 💕 Maybe tell them to keep reading, go fishing, dream big, believe in themselves, or simply remind them that somebody out there thinks they’re pretty darn special.

Every book collected will be given to Community Care which is a local NON-PROFIT organization offering Head Start early childhood education and support programs — because books are meant to be read, loved, reread, and eventually become part of somebody’s story. 📖🦋

And here’s where we need YOU…

📚NATIONAL COMIC BOOK DAY HAS OFFICIALLY GOTTEN OUT OF HAND. 😂

High of 70° today with some peaks of sunshine sneaking through the clouds… so naturally, we decided the next logical step was to turn the bar staff into comic-book characters.

Don’t worry — nobody is actually dressing up.
We have bills to pay and apparently costumes aren’t part of the employee handbook. 😂

🎣 TJ opened the bait shop @ 6a — because the fish aren’t going to wake themselves up.

And then there’s Jay lurking around in the back like Sneaky Pete, apparently planning his next great heist while everyone else is busy reading comics. 👀😂

Come hang out, enjoy the sunshine when it decides to show itself, and admire our completely fictional superhero alter-egos from a safe distance.

Because let’s be honest…
the only superpower around here is surviving a shift at the bar. 🍻🤣

because apparently the minnows needed an early wake-up call too. 🐟😂

So come on in, grab a drink, grab some food, and pretend you have your life together.

Then at 5PM, Allison, Evan & Nicole roll in to take over for the night! 🍻

He’ll be the one running around like a chicken with its head cut off… because apparently being busy is his favorite hobby. 😂🐔
