Rumor has it… Jay spent last night staring out preparing for a full-blown flood disaster…

The bartenders? They looked at all that water and collectively said…

“Well… if we’re gonna get wet, we might as well make it fun.” 🌊🙄

So while Jay was busy calculating possible insurance deductibles, everyone else was apparently auditioning for Lake Life: The Musical with canoes, floaties, and absolutely zero concern for his blood pressure.

Now the million-dollar question…

Mother Nature… you got another temper tantrum planned today, or can Jay unclench for a few hours? 😳

We know… we know… somewhere out there a customer just whispered, “Well… this changes everything.” 🤯🤣

Sarah will be back at 4p continuing today’s highly scientific (and completely free) training seminar. Attendance is optional… but understanding basic liquid displacement is encouraged. 😜

🌦️ Weather today: It’s a watch the sky, hold your hat kind of day. Mother Nature appears to be making decisions one cloud at a time.

🌕 MOON UPDATE: We had this plan to watch the moon together after a 14-hour work day…

Apparently our eyelids filed a formal complaint and won. 😴💤

If anyone asks… we were just resting our eyes while conducting important lunar research. The moon showed up. We didn’t. 🤷‍♀️😂

☀️ High of 84 today… perfect weather to pretend you got more than 17 minutes of sleep.

🎣 TJ has been taking care of the fishermen since 6a.

Well… it finally happened.

Jay decided that walking over to work the normal way was tooo much soooo … a camel it is …
He made it look like it was the most normal thing in the world… cat in one arm, reins in the other. 🐈🐪

The good news? The Fish Cleaning Station has officially been promoted to the Camel Trough. HR has not approved this change.

😵 Allison opens the Tavern @ 11a (assuming she has recovered from shock).

🤦‍♀️ Sarah comes in @ 4p to help explain to customers why there’s a camel in the parking lot.

☀️ High of 80° today, so if you hear weird noises coming from Jay’s Midlake… don’t panic.

It’s probably just the camel asking for another bucket of water. 😂🐪🍻

Before the day gets busy, we wanted to take a moment to simply say thank you.

When we look around this place, we don’t just see a building—we see the memories you’ve helped create. Morning coffee before the lake, lunch with friends, family dinners, celebrations, and countless stories shared across these tables.

🚨 SATURDAY’S OFFICIAL MIDLAKE STAFF DIAGNOSIS 🚨

🎣 TJ has been holding down the bait shop and slinging breakfast since 6a… because apparently fish and fishermen don’t believe in sleeping in.

Meanwhile… the rest of the crew has been preparing mentally for what the day might bring.

🤫 Sarah: “Nobody tell them we’re almost out of patience.” (in @ 11a)

😜 Evan: “I’m here for it! … and the free entertainment.” (in @ 5p)

💩 Allison: “Please don’t ask if the kitchen is still open… while standing in the kitchen.” (in @ 5p)

😂 Nicole: Already laughing because she knows at least one person is going to walk in and say, “Y’all been crazy.” (in @ 5p)

And Jay? He’s got that smile that says…
“I’ve survived thousands of Saturdays. Today is another day to me.”

Oh … and the weather …

☀️ High of 79 today with just a spit of rain this evening. Basically the weather is as indecisive as the group that says, “We don’t care where we eat.”

Stop by for cold drinks, great food, and your daily reminder that we can’t fix stupid… but we can absolutely serve it a cheeseburger and a beer. 🍔🍺😆
