Sorry (not really 😉) for dropping 3 awesome picks this week! We try to space them out the best we can, but sometimes that just isn’t possible. While we’d obviously recommend just snagging all 3, we know that isn’t feasible for everyone.

Sagamore Spirit 10 Year Rye Single Barrel 34 🥃🔥

Distilled at MGP with a mashbill of 80% 95/5, and 20% 52% Rye, 43% corn, 5% barley. Bottled at 110 proof. The 95/5 gives you all the bold flavors you know and love from that mashbill and the Maryland style portion adds additional layers of sweetness and complexity you wouldn’t normally find.

This barrel is not only from their original Indiana stock and one of the last few barrels they have of it, but one of the first barrels they ever acquired. Barrel 34. It’s a piece of history and a major milestone for the Sagamore storyline. They have not purchased any whiskey from MGP since 2017. This is also from the same stock as their 10 Year Rye that was named 7th on whiskey Advocates 2025 top 20 list. We could not keep that in stock and cannot get any more, so if you like Sagamore, specifically their older Indiana whiskey, this is probably your last chance at that.

Up front this drinks like a bourbon. The nose and palate are sweet with notes of vanilla, buttercream, caramel, toasty oak, wood sugars, and cashew butter with a rich and syrupy mouthfeel. The palate builds and builds until some floral, earthy notes kick in with some green apple, peach crumble, and roasted nuts. It’s an absolute flavor bomb perfect for both Rye and Bourbon drinkers.

This is now pouring at the bar and bottles to take home are available online or in-store, however we don’t anticipate them lasting too long. Onyx and Amber 11 Year Barrel Proof MGP Bourbon Single Barrel Canton Cooperage 👀🥃🔥

Distilled in Indiana with 60% Corn, 36% Rye, 4% Malted Barley. Aged in a Char 4 Canton Cooperage barrel in Indiana for 10 years, and then in the high elevation of Colorado for an additional year. In that final year, Onyx & Amber states that intense barometric pressure swings and extraordinarily dry mountain air do something that can’t be replicated anywhere else. The whiskey concentrates, the depth builds, and what’s left is richer, more viscous, and more layered than the same whiskey aged elsewhere. This combined with the Canton barrel creates a one of a kind bourbon drinking experience.

If you don’t know about Canton barrels… Canton Cooperage traditionally makes premium barrels for wine. Back when this was distilled in 2015, there was a barrel shortage at Bourbon Cooperages, and so a small run of MGP Bourbon was filled and aged in new charred oak made by Canton Cooperage. Although they are a bit more expensive, that’s all there was at the time. Nobody knew this until the Bourbon matured, but turns out these Canton barrels do wonders for Bourbon!

This 11 year old barrel has a barrel strength of 104.9 proof but it drinks so much bolder and bigger in flavor. There’s strong notes of maple brûlée, sweet toasted wood sugars, graham cracker, vanilla buttercream, apple pie crust, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and maple syrup. It’s mouth coating and watering without being too sweet like a finished whiskey.

We have 179 bottles so it likely won’t sell out today, but we’re confident once people start getting a taste and word gets out, this will not be here long. You’ll definitely want a backup bottle and might as well get a few backups, because you’ll automatically save 10% on 3 or more bottles when you buy online! We hold online pick-up orders forever and shipping is available to 40 states! This will be pouring at the bar tomorrow & we’ll update this post once this barrel sells out! Cheers 🦅🥃🎉
