Spent some time nosing around in the pumpkin patch. I’m fascinated by all this pollination stuff and the flowers only open for a few hours in the morning. Things are really growing bigger. I picked this pumpkin thinking it was a squash and as soon as I had it in my hand I realized I was wrong-it’s a pumpkin. Squashes are smooth.
Oink was sunning a bit today—I thought he was adorable all stretched out with his little piggy feet behind him

Open today as usual,12-4pm.

However, next Sunday 9/13 we will be CLOSED to visitors as we will be at Duman Lake for the Cambria County Arts & Heritage Festival. I attached the most recent posted details—come visit the park, it’s such a pretty venue.
Today the girls will be out front…..a dry day!!!!!!

Some little video blips from last evening. Jetta being Jetta!! She can get the freezer lid open but then what……she’s going to need a sidekick to stick their head in there!!
Some of the troughs created by the water runoff. Although there has been a ton of logging on the mountain above me, I truly believe the main issue is that there is virtually no soil remaining after this mountain was strip mined many years ago.
The mess after a rain is a job of its own, one I am no longer going to rake up—the next rain will move it into the woods!! I am thinking however, next year, maybe a garden where the water and manure beans flow??
