We wandered the mall looking for things that gave us that unmistakable back-to-school nostalgia—and apparently school shopping looked a little different depending on what decade you grew up in. 😂

Vintage lunchboxes. Backpacks. Fresh first-day sneakers. Globes and maps. Desks for homework. And marbles for recess…because obviously those were essential school supplies. 😂

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today is more than the unofficial end of summer—it’s a day rooted in American history and dedicated to the generations of workers who helped build the country we know today. ❤️🤍💙

And working in an antique mall, we get to see pieces of that history every day.

Old tools worn smooth after decades of use. Factory and automotive memorabilia. Handmade quilts and furniture. Advertising from businesses long gone. Things we collect and display today were once simply part of someone’s everyday life—and often, their everyday work.

So today, we’re celebrating the workers, makers, tradespeople, farmers, factory workers, small-business owners, and everyone whose hard work became part of the history we now get to preserve.
