Gave new life to these crocheted flowers and leaves. These special pieces were part of the bridesmaids bouquets for my sisters wedding in ~2016. I had the bouquet on display- much like real flowers- ever since then. Finally I got the idea to lay them out flat and display them in a frame.
I wish I could say I made these flowers but alas, I don't know how to crochet- maybe one day. It is thee craft Rebekah and I are constantly saying to each other we gotta learn- but what can I say were knitters at heart. My sisters mother in law handmade all of the flowers for the wedding herself. I have kept everything original to the bouquet. I never truly appreciated the different types of leaves until I disassembled the bouquet and laid them flat. I love them all but I think the monstera type leaf is my fav. Per my style, I forgot to take a pic of the bouquet before I took it all apart 🤦
The frame is from dollar store and I glues a foam piece to the backboard of the frame. Placed a piece of black cardstock over, then laid down the lace, added a little glue to keep in place. Finally I arranged the flowers and pinned into the foam to secure with needles.
I absolutely love looking at this piece on the wall. I find myself constantly glancing over to admire it while sitting on the couch.
