Here’s an interesting little machine! This rare 1920s General Electric sewing machine was a predecessor to the popular Singer Featherweight—fans will notice a similarity in the black case and the shape of the machine itself.

Lightweight machines like this still see quite a bit of use today, even nearly a century after this machine was manufactured, due to their great combination of portability and good performance.

We fix just about every sewing machine from just about every era—check out these two early 70s European machines! Despite half a century of use, many machines from this era just need a little work to run as good as new.

They sure don’t make them like they used to! A lot of older machines were built for harder use and longer life than most of what you’ll find today, meaning its often more economical to fix your old machines that to buy a new one.

One thing we love about this business is seeing all the unique, interesting machines people bring us. Check out this German-made Fister & Rossman machine, built sometime around the end of the 19th century and brought overseas by a customer on their return from a trip to England many years ago. That beautiful gold paint is still in great condition!

While we don’t see very many machines like this, it’s not a first for us. We take pride in being able to repair machines of all makes and models, and we’re pretty sure we’ll have this century-old machine sewing as good as new when we’re done with it!
