🎤 DRUM ROLL, PLEASE… our 2026 storytellers have been selected! 🎤

This year’s Nebraska Storytelling Festival theme is “Many Threads, One Story” — and the stories taking the stage promise to be powerful, funny, poignant, unexpected and unmistakably human.

You’ll hear true stories about caring for a father with dementia, navigating the absurdities of pregnancy in a man’s world, searching for the grave of a beloved grandfather… and so much more.

For our 5th Annual Nebraska Storytelling Festival, ten storytellers from across the state will step into the spotlight and share deeply personal stories from their own lives.

👏 Meet our 2026 featured storytellers:

Anna Alcalde
Pam Hernandez
Gregg Lemke
Austyn D. McKee
Jan Moore
Oscar Rios Pohirieth
Justin Ryman
Kirstin Swanson Wilder
Jenna Vitosh
Brenna Whitten

✨ Ten voices. Ten true stories. One unforgettable evening.
