Well, Richard's Sport Shop didn't stay empty for long... Congratulations to Lincoln Powersports and good news for area outdoor enthusiasts! Enjoy your retirement Greg & Arlette!

The rumors are true, Lincoln Powersports has officially taken ownership of the former Richard’s Sport Shop property.

Let’s take a moment to thank Greg and Arlette Richard, along with everyone who helped build and operate such a well respected business over the years. Through decades of hard work and dedication, they built an iconic dealership in Northern Maine.

Richard’s Sport Shop has been a fixture in the Lincoln community, and we have a tremendous amount of respect for the legacy they created.

For the time being, we will be utilizing the facility as additional storage and overflow space as Lincoln Powersports continues to grow. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to putting the property to good use.

Today Terry & Dave did some repair work to the bridge between Ramsay Welding & Penobscot Valley Avenue on LSSC Club Trail 4. This trail is also used by Penobscot Off-Road Riders ATV Club. They provided the planks needed for the repair and LSSC provided the labor. Another great example of two clubs working together for the benefit of both clubs! Git'n er dun! Thanks guys!

This morning work continued on the trail on Jeremy Dill's (Greywolf) property behind Why Not Stop. Penobscot Off-Road Riders is improving the trail from there to Airport Road for ATV use. This trail is also part of Lincoln Snowhounds Snowmobile Club Trail 4. Today "Backhoe Tom" from PORR (the yellow machine), "Excavator Dave (N.)" also from PORR (not pictured), and "Tractor Dave (S.)", member of both PORR & LSSC (behind the camera on the orange machine), worked together ditching and placing material to harden the surface of this trail for the benefit of both clubs.
