We are so excited! This Sunday we attended the Uncommon Market craft sale and show. I took several burl bowls, walking canes, and foot stools. We did rather well, selling some canes, and more bowls than I thought we would. Actually we had a great day! Our first show, and we got our name out there! The best part of the day was when a lady and gentleman from Black Mountain bought three of my burls. She was so excited to get them back to her shop in downtown Black Mountain. She gave me a business card and said she wanted all that I might have left at the end of the day. Not thinking much of it, I stuck her card in my pocket and went on with my day excited for my sells. Well, Monday morning comes, I see her card in my wallet and mentioned to Katrina what she had said. She said for me to give her a call, what would it hurt?! So, I called Mrs. Stephanie Wilder, owner of Chifferobe Home and Garden in Black Mountain. To my surprise she said most definitely that she was serious about what she said and for me to bring her
what I could!!! Needless to say folks, I was totally, completely, and utterly blown away, excited, ecstatic and a little scared...this has been the best two days ever since I jumped into the "starving artist" life. I am proud of myself, my wife, and greatful for Mr. Jake Fulbright for showing interest in my work and giving me guidance and encouragement to go to the Uncommon Market.
Now, I have to build my inventory back! There is another sale coming in October!!!
