North State Books General antiquarian bookshop with specialties in Southern Literature and North Carolina history. We're next to a favorite local grill, City Lunch.

The shop also contains a general stock in all fields of interest, including Civil War, military history, hunting and fishing, nature and science, textbooks and homeschooling, religion and philosophy, juvenile collectibles and children's literature, etc. Prices are reasonable - compare ours on the net to others, service is courteous - and mail orders promptly processed. The shop is conveniently placed in the center of Lincolnton on the court square -just park in front.

⛺Urban Camping & Property Use ⛺

We’re continuing our series highlighting local ordinances to help keep Lincolnton safe, clean, and accessible for everyone! Here is a quick guide to Section 130.09: Urban Camping and Improper Use of Public and Private Places.

Key Highlights:
🌳 Public Property: Camping, erecting tents/shelters, cooking, or storing personal belongings in city parks, streets, sidewalks, or greenways without a permit from Parks & Recreation is prohibited.

🏠 Private Property: Camping on private land requires written consent in your possession from the property owner. Camping is limited to a maximum of 5 consecutive days.

🎒 Unattended Belongings: Personal effects (bags, sleeping gear, cookware) should not be left unattended on public property for prolonged periods.

✅ Exceptions: Standard uses—such as medical emergencies, sitting at sidewalk cafes, enjoying parades, or using strollers/wheelchairs—are always permitted.
