What "reconditioned" actually means (and what it doesn't).

It isn't "someone wiped it down and flipped it." At Refrigerate, units come through big-box contracts, get inspected, and get brought back to solid working shape. Dryer taking two cycles to finish a load?

Usually it's airflow, not "the dryer's dying." Lint screen is only half the story. The vent line from the dryer to the outside gets packed with lint over time. Restricted air = wet towels, long cycles, and a fire risk you don't want.

Safe checks:
- Clean the lint screen every load
- Don't overstuff
- Feel the outside vent while it's running. Weak or no air? That's your clue.

Unplug before you pull the dryer out. If the vent's long, crushed, or you're not sure, have someone clear it. A dryer that runs but doesn't dry is telling you something.

Utah August is hard on refrigerators. Hot garage heat, kids in and out of the door, fridge running nonstop.

One thing that actually helps: clean the condenser coils. Dust and pet hair make the compressor work overtime, which shortens its life and raises your power bill.

How:
1. Unplug the fridge first.
2. Pull it out carefully (or check if coils are underneath / on the back).
3. Vacuum with a brush attachment. Soft brush if it's caked on.
4. Plug back in and listen. It should cycle quieter once it's not fighting the dust.

If it still runs constantly or the freezer's warm, get it checked. Don't keep guessing in this heat.
