Twinflower Books was founded 5 years ago today! We started Twinflower Books as a pop-up bookstore under our parent company Rudbeckia Productions where we publish Dan Rehm's thrillers. We found it difficult to reach readers as an independent publisher so we decided that Twinflower Books would concentrate on promoting independent and local authors.

It has been amazing to be part of the Chisago Lakes Chamber and the Chisago Lakes region! We love the support of the independent bookseller communities found in Midwest Booksellers Association and the American Booksellers Association.

Organizations like Bookshop and Libro.fm provide amazing support and materials for independent bookstores nationwide. We use funding we receive from these sites and a bonus received from the James Patterson holiday bonus program to fund our annual Fish Stories Writing contest. We host this contest every year during the Celebration of the Lakes.

We have found so many partners and collaborators over the last 5 years including Pleasant Valley Orchard & Cidery, Uncommon Loon Brewing Company, Chisago City Farmers Market, Franconia Sculpture Park, Dancing Dragonfly Winery, City of Lindstrom, Friends of the Karl Oskar House, and Tributary—For Writers and Readers in the Saint Croix Valley.

We feel the love from all of you and from our local authors. We want to especially thank our very own Daniel Rehm, Judith Erickson, Heidi Barr, Kathleen Melin - Author and Educator, and Julie L Christen for having great reads that our customers love.
