ST. JOE RIVE LODGE & RETREAT NOW OPEN & RESERVING DATES

*Candy and I would like to invite you to come see our newest addition. The St. Joe River Lodge & Retreat. It is located only 3 miles from Catfish Acres and only 1 mile north of Litchfield Outdoors on Highway 99. We are having an Open House this Thursday August 20th from 5pm-7pm so that you can see what it is all about. Dessert and Punch will be served and we will both be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and rate sheets will be available. We hope to see you all there.

The Lodge is an affordable venue for Weddings, Parties, Re-Unions, Baby Showers, Birthday's, Raffles, Graduations, and other special events.

It is located at 10011 Homer Rd on 12 beautiful acres in Litchfield Michigan. St. Joe River Lodge features a large dining and banquet facility with a full sized kitchen for preparing meals. It also features a King size Suite, and a King Family suite. Lodging is available for 1 to 12 people.

Other features include: 4 Big screen Tv's, Dance Floor, Coffee Bar, Full size Refrigerator, Stove, full sized bar in banquet area, smaller bar in King suite, microwave, dishware and table setting items, air, arcade video games, board games, Two King sized beds, 2 sets of bunk beds, sofa beds, and other roll out beds. 3 Bathrooms and two showers.

Outside Features: 10 hole Disc Golf Course, 2 sets of Corn hole games, Nature Trail to St. Joe River, Picnic Tables, Benches, Fire Pit Area, Large Parking area for many cars or work vehicles

Fishing Rates- Adults are only $25 and Kids $20 for a 12hr pass. You can keep 3 Catfish each under 7 pounds with the net during non tourney times . Great time to fill your frying pan and stock your frying pan.

Tournaments- These cost just a little extra and pay cash and points back to the winners. They take place Fri & Sat 6pm-10pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm. You can keep fish during the Sunday Tourney.

In May we lost an incredible Outdoorsman and Person. Elvis Luke was nicknamed the "Catfish King" He won more Catfish Tournaments and Points Titles than anyone in our 18 year History at Catfish. He also fished in our Branch County Panfish Club for several years and always competed in the Summer Bawbeese Open and all of the local Tip-Up Festivals.

Elvis had a great personality and loved to pass on his passion of fishing. So many kids caught their first big Catfish on his pole or with his help. He touched so many people in different ways. He always helped me with anything I needed at Catfish Acres. He passed away very unexpectedly and left a lot of expenses for his family. He had 4 sons and we are doing this benefit to help them. All proceeds will go to the family.

A lot of us own or run businesses and I would like to ask your support for this event. We are trying to get sponsors for all of the prize money so that the entry fee can go to the family. We are currently $800 from covering the total. Any amount of sponsorship would help . Please comment or message if you are willing to help and I will contact you. We are also looking for new and used fishing and hunting items that can be used for prizes in the bucket draws and silent auction.

I would also invite you all to come to the benefit , enjoy the meal and fish in the Tourney in honor of Elvis. The donation meal starts at 11am followed by the tourney at 1pm-5pm and prizes and drawings to follow. Anything you are willing to do would be greatly appreciated. *We are stocking all 3 ponds. These fish generally bite right away and fire up the fish that we already have. . This is a great opportunity to bring the Family out fishing.

*Day Passes- Adults $25 and Kids 16 & under $20 for a 12hr pass. Our camp store is open till 10pm tonight. As long as you arrive by then you can fish through the night. No arrivals after that.

2nd Option- Try the New Fast Catch Pond. Perfect for those that want to take them home or have a little shorter trip. Catch & Keep rate only $5.00 to fish and 6.99 # or Catch and Release 3 Catch $30, 5 Catch $40 or 10 Catch $60 per person.

BAWBEESE OPEN & BAWBEESE BASH FISHING CONTESTS
SEE ALL THE DETAILS BELOW: BIG CASH PAYOUTS!

Bawbeese Bash Fishing Contest- Hosted by the Hillsdale American Legion Post 53 Steamburg Rd Hillsdale. Contest Starts 2pm Friday the 12th and ends at 2pm on Sunday the 14th. All Fish must be caught on the Bawbeese Chain of Lakes. You must purchase a $5.00 Festival pass in order to enter your Fish. There are over $1225.00 in Cash Prizes. It pays 1st $100, 2nd $50, and 3rd $25 in 7 Categories. Bluegill, Red Ear, Crappie, Perch, Bass, Pike, and Junk Fish.

Bawbeese Open 2 Person Panfish Tourney Sunday June 14th 7:30am-1pm. No early sign up required. Sign up that morning between 6:30am-7:10 at the Hillsdale American Legion parking lot on Steamburg Rd. Entry is $50 a Team or Fish as an individual. Winners decided by weight of your heaviest 10 Bluegills & 10 Red Ears. 20 Fish total to the weigh in. There are also optional $5.00 side pots for the largest Crappie, Perch, Bluegill, Red Ear, Bass, and Junk Fish. Tourney payback based on entries. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd under 25 teams and for every 5 entries over 25 we will add a place. Fishing can be done by shore, boat, kayak, wading, but you must be on the Bawbeese Chain. All fish must be kept fresh.

As long as you purchase a $5.00 pass for the Bawbeese Bash you can enter your fish in both contests and have a chance to win in both. The Two person tourney ends at 1pm and the weigh in is at Lakeside portion of the Hillsdale American Legion . You must be there at 1pm. After your fish are weighed in you can then take them to the Legion board.

This event is sponsored by Litchfield Outdoors and the Branch County Panfish Club. We will have the 5.00 passes at the sign up table and if anyone needs bait such as Red Wigglers or Wax worms please message me and you can place an order and I will bring them to the event.

The Kitchen will be open Sunday at the Legion and the prizes and giveaways will start at 3pm so make sure to bring your friends and family. Home to see everyone out fishing this weekend.
