The Sourcing Squirrel is trading the engraving laser for some Mardi Gras beads! We’re heading to New Orleans for a little Spring Break and Easter magic.

To keep your information organized and secure, we are unable to accept orders or order details via text message or Facebook messanger. Please send all requests through email so nothing gets lost in a thread! You can email all information to [email protected].

Our current lead time is 7 business days.

Ever wonder what the "magic" behind the scenes actually looks like? Well, it’s less fairy dust and more… this….
Before I achieve absolute perfection for your custom pieces, my workshop usually looks like a tornado hit a glitter factory. But despite the organized chaos, I make sure every single project leaves here flawless, sparkling, and ready to make someone ridiculously happy.
My face? I’m currently channeling my inner Ben Affleck. That "exhausted but I nailed it" energy is my permanent state of being. So yes, the desk is messy and I might need a third coffee, but your orders? They are always ready to make to make someone smile. ✨

Since most of the state is shutting down, so are we. Why? Because it’s going to be -45°C out there. At that temperature:
🥶Your eyelashes freeze together and you turn into a human popsicle in 5 mins.
☕️Your coffee turns into a brick before you hit the car. We know some of you like iced coffe but this is not the way to get!
And frankly, no engraving is important enough to risk frostbite!
Silver Squirrel will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, Jan 23rd. Take this as your official permission to stay in your pajamas all day. Be safe and stay cozy!

Happy 2026! A new year means new products for the store and I couldn't keep these a secret any longer... ✨
I’ve spent a lot of time recently searching for the perfect pieces to bring into the store—items that feel like they have a story before I even begin the engraving process. When I found these stained glass keepsakes, I knew they were the ones.
There is a certain "found" quality to them—the heavy, textured glass, the vintage-inspired solder, and the way they catch the light just right. They feel like something you’d discover in a hidden corner of an antique shop, but with the polished quality of a modern heirloom.
I’m currently dreaming up the designs that will eventually be etched into these frames and boxes. Whether it’s a wedding date, a favorite verse, Confirmation date, or a name, I can't wait to see how your stories bring these pieces to life.

Welcome to Silver Squirrel Engraving and Gifts (formerly Craft Specialties and Keepsakes)! First and foremost, we are a full-service engraving and personalization store located in Kaukuana, WI. We pride ourselves on doing all of our personalization right in-house. This allows us to fill your needs in the fastest time possible and keep our overhead and prices low.
Let me introduce myself! My name is Becky and I am the ‘boss lady’ around here. I am the face you will see when you come in for all of your engraving needs. I am so excited you are checking us out.
Let me tell you a little bit about my business. I started out as Craft Specialties in the basement of my home founded on a hobby that I became very passionate about. In a quest for equipment upgrades, I did a simple Craigslist search of our area and found Initial Impressions (who many of you have been customers of for YEARS) was looking to sell their full-service engraving store in Kaukauna. My initial plan was to just purchase their equipment and glass inventory to grow my business from home, but the yearning to be in a retail location and be my own boss just wouldn’t go away. After showing the location to my husband we decided that it was time for me to make a go of it. It seemed like a no-brainer (!!!) for me to take over a business that had been established for 15 years in a community. After 3 years as Craft Specialties and Keepsakes, a name that I wasn’t in love with, I decided to re-launch my store as Silver Squirrel Engraving and Gifts. Some people wonder why I call it Silver Squirrel and I tell them that my nickname was ‘squirrelly’ in college. For those who know me best, the name is very fitting :).
The first 3 years have been a wild and very fun ride! We have expanded the traditional trophy and engraving store to include home decor and “grab & go” gifts for most occasions. We have added new equipment to upgrade technologies and we are in the process of re-branding our name and we are launching a website located at www.ssengraving.com.
