🌸 We’re OPEN! 8/18 🌸

It’s truly a family affair over here. Little Compton Flowers is a working family farm, and every bouquet you pick up is the result of early mornings, dirt under our nails, and a whole lot of love. Our flowers are fresh-picked daily — never left sitting on a shelf for days. Just straight from our fields to you.

We are so grateful for this community. A little kindness really does go a long way, and we feel it every single day from the people who stop by, say hello, and support what we do. Thank you, truly. ❤️

It pains us to have to address this, but nearly every customer who’s stopped in today has asked, so we want to gently clarify: we are a working farm, and we are not associated with the farm stand that has set up directly across the way. Unfortunately, this has caused some confusion, and a few folks have paid at the wrong stand. We wish we didn’t have to say anything at all — but the mix-up has made it necessary. We remain true to our mission: spreading joy, one bouquet at a time. 💐

Here’s what makes that possible: every single stem was grown right here, in this soil, and cut fresh this morning. Never trucked in. Never bought wholesale and resold to you at a markup. 🌸 FARM STAND OPEN TODAY — 8/16! 🌸

The biggest dahlia mixed bouquets around. Period. 💥

And every single stem is chemical-free — because Farmer Alexis puts her family and community’s health first. We would never poison the people we love with glyphosate or any other w**d killer just to push out more product. That’s not beauty.

What you’ll see instead, year round: us out in the field hand-w**ding, squishing Japanese beetles and earwigs one by one, choosing the hard way over the easy chemical shortcut every single time. 🐞

Yes, it’s more work. But it’s the only way we can imagine doing it. Flowers are meant to show love — and something doused in chemicals isn’t love. 💛

🌸 THE FARM STAND IS OPEN — 8/15! 🌸

People ask us all the time: why don’t you do u-picks?

Here’s the honest answer — flowers shouldn’t be cut in the heat of the day. Midday harvesting stresses the stems, and a stressed stem means a shorter vase life. So instead, Farmer Alexis is up at dawn, out in the cool morning air, cutting every bloom at its peak when it’s fully hydrated and ready to last. That’s the difference you feel when your bouquet is still going strong a week later. 🌅

And the dahlias? Don’t get us started. 😅 We’ve been breeding our own for FIVE years now — chasing the perfect new cultivars, one season at a time. We are religious about sanitation: clippers disinfected between every single plant, no exceptions. That’s how we grow clean, disease-free tubers we can actually stand behind when we sell them.

This week, too many people slipped a $5 into the box for a $30 bouquet. The prices are clearly marked. This is a working farm — one that hasn’t turned a profit yet — and every stem is grown, cut, and arranged by hand.
