Well Hello,
It's been awhile. As always I want to thank everyone for the continued support.
2025 was an interesting year for this business and our family. Without too many details, family health took precedent over work. As a result, I am more behind than I've ever been. Thankfully we have some answers and a path forward has been laid out.
So, I will now try to focus on getting caught up.
The only issue is, when your piece is done, you may not be able to come in. 1st Ave in front of the shop is being rebuilt including the sidewalk. Access will be limited for the next month or two.
If you have something to bring in, I'm asking if you can wait till the project is complete out front. There is really no tangible back door to this building. I then can try to get everyone's pieces done.
Again, I appreciate the patience of those who've had work here for awhile.
Feel free to call first if you have questions or want to come in. I can give you access status.

We have had a lot of Jerseys in this year. I typically work alone but called in some very special friends to lend their expertise on these slightly more time consuming pieces.
I'd like to thank Raquel Lundberg for whipping out the forms for me, Karen Warner for making stitchery look so easy and Denise Gruber for Maximum Support.
A very special Thank you as well to Laura Donahue who is always willing to help and does so often.

Hey everyone! It's been a moment.
As always I appreciate the patience of valued customers and friends. Working mostly by myself is always challenging and there is no shortage of projects.
The late days of Summer are always busy with yearly projects such as Kapsners Salon and The Court of Honor retirees from Camp Ripley. I was also chosen to frame several very large paintings for the new Medical School in St. Cloud. All of these are large projects and came with specific deadlines (something I am not fond of).
So, just as I was wrapping up the Med School job, I had a ladder fly out from under me in the back of the shop. The result was several broken ribs and dislocated fingers.
This occurred on August 24th, the Sunday before Labor Day. I was unable to breath well for two weeks. I couldn't sit, stand, move, sleep or work.
And guess what? I'm BEHIND!
Just got moving like a human last week. Court of Honor is due today and The Salon will be installed Wednesday.
So, again. If you have a piece in the shop please hang in there.
Oh, and if you're still here, one of the photos shows an email I received today (there have been many like it but this one is by far the largest single increase). If my cost for a product I sell to my valued customers costs me 36% more, what is a fair mark-up?
I don't like this aspect of my job. I'd rather create beautiful things than create another new price list.
I still can't express how much everyone's patience and understanding, while also waiting for their project, means.
I'll figure out a new price list and try to catch up.

I have a passion for restoration and always have.
This building was boarded up for 40 years before we saw it's potential to serve as a reminder of what can be achieved with vision for the future without abandoning the past.
The same is true in honoring a beloved moment or piece of time.
I was truly honored to restore this delicate pastel to it's original frame with all new acid free matting and backing.
A family heirloom to be loved as was and forever.
