This Iver Johnson is only the second one that I have come across. The first one is a member of my collection. Hercules Grade, in 12 gauge with 30" barrels. Full and improved modified chokes. One freckle of rust on the left barrel, and the finish on the stock is somewhat orange peel texture. I am guessing it was from heat. These guns were manufactured from 1924-1935. A special run was conducted in the 1930's for Montgomery Ward. That version is the Western Field Model 53. I would certainly love to run across one of those. This gun is in great shape for a 90+ year old gun. Yes, this one can be adopted.

Received some sad news yesterday. Preston Mustard, owner of Boot Hill Gun Club in Jackson, passed away on Friday in Columbus. He succumbed to MRSA in a Columbus hospital. RIP Preston.

Came across this little gem, and it followed me home. Stevens 311 A in 410 gauge. Looks to be manufactured in 1960, which is the last year Stevens manufactured guns in their plant. Production was moved to Savage facilities, as Savage actually purchased Stevens in 1920. 26" barrels, F & F. In great shape. Yes, it can be adopted.

I had no familiarity with a Makarov. Turns out, these are the second most popular pistol in the world, second only to the G***k brand. This one came with the holster, cleaning rod, and a second clip. 9 x 18 cal., and all in great shape.
