We can’t wait to have Quinn Connor (with special guest Kathryn Tennison) join us this Sunday for the launch of their book YOUR BELOVED REMAINS. This gripping novel set in the Ozarks explores fascination that leads to obsession, fraud, and murder. The perfect book to read during spooky season! We hope you can join us at 5pm for a discussion with the authors, a book signing, and some good socializing with drinks and food from Moody Brews.

Ummmm…. Where did September go?!?! It’s the last Monday of the month so you know that means it is time for Silent Book Club. We will see you at PettawayCoffee. at 6:30pm for 45-ish minutes of silent reading and then some optional time for socializing and chatting about books. Get there a little early if you want to put in a drink order. Stay a little later if you want to peruse the bookstore. Perfect weather and perfect time for a little reading!

If y’all are free this evening, you definitely want to head over to our neighbors Moody Brews for some Red Beans & Rice (smoked tofu option also available) made with local Isbell Farms rice! You will also be supporting the Arkansas Foodbank. 💜 Of course, there is also jazz in the Square from 6-9pm. We are slinging books until 8pm. Perfect way to kick off the fall!

The one thing that can be said about September is that every week there have been some really great books released! Here are some of today’s new ones! We have signed copies of John Green’s HOLLYWOOD, ENDING. Local author Carrie Lee South’s IN THE WOODS THEY WAIT has been one of our favorite books of the year. We can’t wait to read Tananarive Due’s MAZYWOOD. So many good ones y”all!!!

Anybody else as tired of this heat as us? We should be pulling out our cardigans and decorating for Halloween! Well, even if the weather isn't in the spirit, our shelves are!
Gabby Dawnay and Alex Barrow's "If I Had a Vampire Bat" will make it feel like spooky season anytime you pick it up. With beautiful illustrations integrated directly into the text, it is a perfect read-a-long for early readers, especially those that love misunderstood critters.
