This is what community over competition looks like! 🖤

On September 15, 2024, my husband and I traveled with the Rock It Lab to tour historic Black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During that trip, I had the honor of meeting Angela Robinson, owner of Black Wall Street Bodega Lux+Soul Candle Co. became the store’s 46th vendor!

But the story of how I got there makes this moment even more special.

My business sister and sister in Christ, Serreta E. Boson, owner of Sarge’s Pickles introduced me to Angela. Before Serreta even knew I would be attending the trip, she packed her traveling product cart…the one she uses to introduce her brand to potential retailer with Lux+Soul products too.

That is who she is. Serreta truly lives by the belief: “If I win, my friends are going to win too!”

Because she made room for my brand, Lux+Soul Room Sprays earned a place on the shelves of Black Wall Street Bodega immediately after purchasing Sarge’s Pickles. This picture captures the day Angela welcomed me into her store and Lux+Soul became part of the community of Black-owned brands represented there.
