Job Summary:
This position is responsible for start-up, shut down and troubleshooting injection molding processes and automation equipment. Duties will include setting up of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment in order to produce product that meets our quality standards. The successful candidate will provide full documentation on all processing parameters and process related records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Installing of molds including all hydraulic, water, and electrical connections where needed.
• Start-up of molding machines and auxiliary equipment to pre-established process parameters.
• Basic troubleshooting of injection molding processes and automation equipment.
• Completion of molding process documentation.
• Pre-inspection of molded product prior to submitting for quality inspection.
• Safe removal of molds from the molding machine for planned maintenance.
• The Injection Molding Technician will be required to perform various other work-related duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor/facilitator.
• Responsible for the promotion of and adherence to all appropriate safety practices and procedures, and to continually monitor for hazards.

Education, Experience, and Skills:
• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing is required.
• Basic computer skills desired.
• An understanding of Scientific Injection Molding Principles or equivalent is desired but not required.
• The ability to use basic hand tools is required.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., work instructions, quality standards, safety, etc.)
• Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals and fractions, required.
• The ability to work 12 hour shifts and occasionally work holidays.
• The ability to be standing 70% of the time and can lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use measurement equipment to include calipers, micrometers, etc.

We are currently recruiting for an Injection Molding Process Engineer to lead injection molding process through support of Process Technicians, optimization of molding process, continuous improvement initiatives, liaising with outside vendors, and providing manufacturing support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains injection equipment to meet departmental efficiency goals.
• Work with continuous improvement teams to meet customer cost reduction goals.
• Trial new tooling and equipment and make modifications as needed to meet quality and production goals.
• Take customer engineering and design concepts or ideas and incorporate them into feasible design to fit facility/company manufacturing processes.
• Use creative skills to assist in solving design or manufacturing issues or constraints.
• Lead and participate in company Lean/Kaizen activities for ongoing cost reductions.
• Work closely with outside vendors in tooling, equipment, component and material development.
• Work closely with Management in product, project or system development issues.
• Keep up on latest industry standards, processes, and procedures while continually updating
the latest technology and systems.
• Participate in formal improvement team activities.
• Support all departmental and organizational improvement initiatives in order to achieve business objectives.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering desired
• RJG Master Molder 2 certification required
• 5+ years’ injection molding experience in product manufacturing
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
• History of progressive responsibility a plus
• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with CAD programs or with PLC programming a plus

We are currently recruiting for a Polymer Chemist to work in our new, state-of-the-art R&D prototyping and materials analysis lab.

We are seeking a Polymer chemist that can create new materials but can also make existing materials, products, and processes better. You will study the basic nature of a material, how it’s structured, and then how different molecules function together. You will experiment with different test methods to get different results -- everything from the solutions you use in the tests to the time you allow for each procedure. Some of the most common materials used include but are not limited to PVC, CPVC, PE, ABS, PP, PVDF and other engineered polymers.

These skills will be used in the analysis of existing products as well as the development of new products for the market.

Our lab, located in Little Rock, AR has newly purchased, state-of-the-art equipment for material analysis including TGA, DSC, TMA, and FTIR. In our mechanical analysis lab, you will be performing tensile/compression testing, digital hardness, charpy impact tester, low-temperature brittleness, and conditioning ovens. In our machine shop and for the purpose of rapid prototyping and analysis we have 3D printing, material mixers and more.

It is critical that the successful applicant has hands-on knowledge and experience using the equipment mentioned above and experience analyzing and interpreting the results.

The position is located in Little Rock, Arkansas and relocation assistance is available.

Job Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Chemistry is preferred but a Master’s degree will be considered
• Must be able to work independently
• Previous studies or experience in the areas of polymers analysis is required
• Must be able to write reports, develop presentations and able to clearly articulate results
• Ability to write and speak fluently in English is a must
• Must work well with others in a collaborative working environment both internally and with external partners
• Experience with 3D printing is a plus

We are currently seeking for a Manager of Purchasing/Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to initially lead a small team of two purchasers responsible for 3 manufacturing sites in North America. However, this position will expand in the future and this person will also need to be able to grow and take on additional responsibilities and additional facilities as the company grows.

Although not required, it would be extremely helpful if the candidate was familiar with the PVC/CPVC/PE resin industries as well as factors that drive pricing of those products. A knowledge of the key suppliers, their processes and industry contacts would also be very helpful.

While responsible for leading a small purchasing team within the GF Harvel subsidiary, you will also be a member of the larger global purchasing team of GF world-wide. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of tactical ex*****on while also being able to think strategically enough to imagine systems we don’t have and help develop a vision for tomorrow that may be very different than what we have today. A bachelor’s degree is required, an MBA is preferred.

- Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field from a Nationally Recognized Program.

- At least five years’ experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management. 

Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

-Manage material logistics associated with supplying material to customers as well as other GF locations.

-Lead up the business monthly inventory forecast for next month and remainder of the year.

-Oversee local sourcing group with respect to supporting of the business plans, responsible for driving material cost reductions 

-Utilize the corporate purchasing organization to leverage buys, shorten lead times, and reduce costs on major commodities. 

-Oversee forecasting of PPV (purchase price variance).  Monitor the stocking programs and forecasts to ensure updates are made according to GF guidelines. 

-Monitor and improve the strategic measurements of Inventory, Customer service and supplier performance.

-Work with operations management on capacity constraints, lean activities, and material issues.  -

-Develop Standard Practice Procedures and departmental procedures which are in line with corporate procedures.
