This commission was so fun! There were only 2 guidelines: an anchor and a eel, everything else was up to me! Commissions are always a bit stressful because you never know what the customer might be expecting, but they're also so fulfilling. Adding all these ocean and sealife elements to this painting made my heart so happy🦀🐚

This is basically the only time of year I miss being on salary. I just came back from vacation & spending time with my family overseas, and I’ve basically made no money since mid July. My first market of the season is still 3.5 weeks away and I have an insane amount of work to catch up on to be ready for fall. I catch myself dreaming of paid time off again 🥲 but I also remember my independence as an artist is more important than that. I’m back! Let’s make this market season the best one yet!
