It was so impressive to see all the business that the Ecusta Rail Trail generates and it’s only 6 miles long currently! So many walkers & cyclists taking advantage of the trail - the cafe was slammed the entire time I was there (Sunday 9am - 2pm) and the bike rental shop was very busy with all the walk up customers - even the brewery that opened at 11:30 was very busy for lunch (they have a full kitchen).

If only we had an abandoned RR locally that passed through a town…

All the cyclists headed out this morning for their last day of cycling on the CycleNC Mountain Ride. Our rest stop support has us set up at the Trailside Brewery in Hendersonville - right on the new Ecusta rail trail that will connect Hendersonville to Brevard when completed.

Anyone headed to the Cycle NC Mountains ride in Brevard? Looks like some spectacular views!

Looking for an extra challenge during Mountain Ride next weekend? ⛰️ 🚴

Be sure to check out the optional climb to Jump Off Rock! It adds a few extra miles to your day, but our route marking team says the breathtaking views at the top are absolutely worth the effort.

Now, full disclosure... our route marking team did the climb in a car instead of on a bike. 😅 We'll leave the climbing from the saddle to all of you!

If you're up for the challenge, Jump Off Rock is one optional add-on you won't regret.
