Littleton Academy keeps getting better and better!

Big thanks to the Lake Gaston Chamber Foundation for awarding our school a grant to launch a new Video Production class! This generous seed funding kicks off Blue Jay News, giving our students the tools to produce their own in-school newscast, sharing announcements and everyday happenings from behind the camera and in front of it.

Beyond the newscast itself, students will build real world skills in writing, public speaking, interviewing, and video editing. We’re also excited for them to use these new tools to document our school’s history and help preserve the story of our community for years to come.

We’re so grateful for partners like the Lake Gaston Chamber Foundation who invest in opportunities like this for our students!

TowBoatus Lake Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston is a worthwhile thing to have. Doesn’t cost much for a membership. Costs a LOT to get towed in or can be scary if you’re stuck out on the lake broken down 😳

Wake The World Announcement and NEED your help!

Wake the World on Friday, July 24, departing from Waterview Restaurant! We are looking for volunteer wake boats and drivers!

Wake the World is a volunteer-driven event that gives children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a day on the water the chance to enjoy boating, wake surfing, tubing, swimming, fishing, and simply making memories. Our mission is to help remove recreational inequities by providing these kids with an unforgettable day filled with fun, encouragement, and hope.

We are currently looking for wake surf boats and volunteer boat owners to help make this special day possible. If you have a wake surf boat and would be willing to donate your time, we’d love to have you join us.

If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Brian Washburn on Facebook. Together, we can make a lifelong memory for a child who otherwise may never have this opportunity.
